1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using StepSaga ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is operated by Joakim Johansson ("we", "our", or "us").

2. Description of Service

StepSaga is a fitness app that transforms daily health tracking into collaborative fantasy adventures. Users can join group adventures, track steps and health metrics, and progress through quests together.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Health Data

The App requests access to health and fitness data (e.g., step count) from Apple Health or Health Center (Android). Granting this access is optional but required for core functionality. You can revoke access at any time through your device settings. We handle health data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Manipulate or falsify health data
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use automated means to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the App (e.g., display name, profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use it for the purpose of operating and improving the App.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. StepSaga is not a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
